ENERGY WORK - The energetic body and energetic protection (part 1).
This is the first piece of a series dedicated to ENERGY WORK - This week we explore the subjects of the energetic body and energetic protection: what they are and why they matter.
ENERGY WORK - Tools and techniques for Energetic Protection (part 2).
Welcome back to our ENERGY WORK serie.
This week we talk about all things Energetic Clearing.
As we’ve already done for Energetic Protection, the chapter about Energetic Clearing is divided in 2 parts: this is part 1, where I’ll explain what this term means and how to recognize if we’re holding onto stagnancy in our own energetic fields.
We’ll also understand in depth why our fields get clattered in first place and which are the situations that we have to pay close attention to.
What you'll find inside:
What is Energetic Clearing and how do we understand if our energy is clear?
Why does our Energetic Field become clattered?
What to pay attention to: categories of energetic clatter, and when to double down on EC.
5 reasons why is important to keep our energetic fields pure.
WHAT IS ENERGETIC CLEARING AND HOW DO WE UNDERSTAND IF OUR ENERGY IS CLEAR?
As we saw in previous chapters of this serie, we have an energetic body that radiates from our physical one, and we engage with it daily, consciously or not.
The healthy essence of this energetic body is harmonious and in its ideal state the energy that comprises it is light and flowing: under the term of Energetic Clearing (EC) we file all the practices to help us keep this dimension of our bodies clear and free from clutter.
Now, our energy can’t become “dirty”, but it can become low-vibing, dense and stagnant.
The best way that I can describe the difference between clear energy vs unclear/clattered energy is putting it on the scale of light vs dense.
The more pure an energy is the higher vibrational frequency it holds: this energy is light, subtle and flows freely.
The word that describes the feeling of a clear energetic body, as far as my understanding goes, is LIGHTNESS: the sensation of feeling light, ethereal, buoyant.
And in my experience, this sensation is the one that I associate with the practices of EC: once a clearing has done its work, I feel a sense of lightness or also brightness to replace a previous sensation of heaviness, like dropping a burden.
On the other side of the spectrum a clattered energy has a lower vibration: this energy is heavy, dense, slow and over time tends to stagnate and create static patches that impede the optimal free-flow in our energetic fields.
If you think about it, it’s quite common to hear people talk about their experience regarding the “cleanliness” of their energy field, you may have had a conversation in which someone, or yourself, has said something as “I have a sense heavyness in my chest”/ “I feel burdened by X,Y,Z….”.
Often I also hear the term “negative”to refer to the low-vibing type of energy, like: “I feel the need to release negativity”, because we intuitively sense that the quality of this energy isn’t beneficial for us to hold, even if it isn’t “good” or “bad” per se, it is simply a low frequency one, that could serve us better once heightened.
These are all very ordinary statements, so you can see how we are all quite used to perceive our energetic bodies on a day-to-day basis, but probably lack the words to describe what we intuitively sense or the proper knowledge to manage these experiences.
WHY DOES OUR ENERGETIC FIELD BECOME CLATTERED?
Plain and easy answer: because we use it!
Every day, in every room we enter, in every connection we have, with every input we're exposed to, we use our energetic bodies, and in some way or another, these interactions leave residues in our fields.
Just in case you started doubting if you're doing anything wrong: absolutely not, this is normal part of everyone daily experience.
And it's also functional this way, because we're meant to interact with life, to get our hands dirty with it, not to cruise through inside an air-tight container.
As we know that after dinner we have to brush our teeth, or that after breaking a sweat we have to take a shower, we can also understand the importance of clearing our energetic body at the end of the day (or anytime we feel we need to, without making it an obsession).
WHAT TO PAY ATTENTION TO: THE MAIN SOURCES OF ENERGETIC STAGNATION
As we have already stated, accumulating energetic residues in our fields is routine business.
But enlisting it helps us bringing consciousness to the process, so that we can:
truly understand how much impact everyday activities have on the level and quality of our energy.
become skilled and crafty to manage our energies when the signs of energetic clutter kicks in (heavyness, burden, grief, fatigue, exhaustion, fogginess, depletion, uncertainty, resentfulness, stuckness).
First of all, I’d also like to distinguish energetic clatter in two categories:
The one that comes from outside, and we hold onto - If you are any kind of space holder, care provider, activist or empath, you can relate to this one deeply: you care immensely, you deeply feel the pain, the grief, the burden, the injustice of many human experiences burning like salt in an open wound, to the point that you feel responsible of alleviating those in some capacity, and the energetic aftermath is that you end up carrying those in your own field.
The one that is ours, but undigested - In this category we file all of our unfinished businesses: the things we didn’t get to the bottom of, the patterns that we didn’t address or even recognized, the memories that we shut down, the words left unsaid, all that wasn’t ever entirely understood or wasn’t given a proper closure.
We may be quite good at seeing blind spots and signs of unbalances in other people, but looking at ourselves is a completely different story, and recognizing these “noises” that we carry in our fields is truly a sneaky task.
So you want to pay particular attention, and double down on accountability and EC practices in any of these situations:
1 - Experiences that triggers past wounds: strong experiences of the past are multilayered and sediment deep down inside of us. Coming across a situation, a person, or sometimes just hearing a word, that activate a painful chapter of our lives is like throwing a stone in a pond: as much as the it seemed clear just a moment before, the disturbance instantly muddy the waters.
2 - Unresolved emotions: when we hold uncomfortable emotions inside of us and don’t take the proper time to get to the root cause, we create a static in our field. Emotions are informations, when they arise is because they carry a message that is important for us, ignoring it doesn’t make them go away: their intensity may fade in the moment, but rest assured, they will resurface again until the lesson lands. In case you experience again and again recurring emotions, set aside some time to implement your EC practices.
3 - Disfunctional thought patterns: we all have our mental loops that we inevitably fail to see, and that inevitably serve us very poorly. Similarly, and overlapping, to our enresolved emotions, outdated beliefs, distorted conditionings and questionable assumptions we never take the time to challenge, become energetically heavy as stones and we dribble around them without even noticing. If there’s something you truly can’t understand over time, most probably you need to change the perspective from which you’re observing the situation, and EC practice can help in freeing some mental space.
4 - Excessive burdens: coming back to the kind of energetic clatter that isn’t ours to carry, I invite you to pay close attention if you have the habit of loading yourself with too many responsibilities and commitments. The acts of sharing and connecting with others come always with an energetic exchange: if we overdo it, we short-circuit the ability of our energetic system to elaborate. The proper threshold is personal and everyone can sense it, depending on how easy or not is to follow the demands of said commitments. Keep in mind anyway that, even if you feel that you do a good job managing all, EC practices are important for you.
5 REASONS WHY IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP OUR ENERGETIC FIELD PURE
Just like we keep clean our physical bodies, it's important to do the same for our energetic ones.
It's quite intuitive to understand that a clean field is more desirable and efficient than a clouded one, but I like the clarity (no pun intended!) provided by a good list, so here we go:
1 - Energetic Protection
If you have read the second article of this Energy Work serie you know that we have already touched on this: a clear field = a protected field.
Where there is clarity there is less noise and less susceptibility of holding onto external energies.
Our ability to discern what is ours and what is not is optimal when our own field is clear, because we are better centered in our own energetic space, and to spot what doesn't belong becomes an easier task.
As we said in the previous post, EC and EP built on each other, and the more we stay consistent with these practices the more we refine our energies and our perceptions, becoming able to chip away nuances that are more and more subtle over time.
2 - We feel good
As obvious as it may sound, we feel better when our energy is clear.
An energetic field that is kept clean works optimally: it assolves its function faster and with more ease, and we feel more vibrant, focused and grounded in the moment.
Imagine the difference between trying to do something in a room that is neat and ordered vs one that is messy and full of scattered things: in the first case you find at a glance what you need, while in the second scenario you bump into something at every move you make.
Or think about how you feel and go through your day after a perfect night’s sleep and a healthy dinner vs after a night out with a couple of too many drinks: we've all been there, I think I've made my point.
3 - We become a better match for good things
Expanding on the principle that clear energy vibrates at a higher level, it is important to consider that once we hold said frequency steadily, we also become a match for all things at the same energetic level.
The situations and people that holds lighter energy are higher qualities ones: these leads to experiences and situations that are more expansive, where comunication is better, where the energetic exchange is clear, where we feel better and are able to show up as our best version as well.
If you look to improve the quality of your life (is there even someone who isn’t?), may this be in love, friendship, career, home… that is to say, if you are trying to manifest a dream or desire into reality, to practic EC is a non-negotiable.
4 - Intuitive development
Your intuition relies on your subtle senses, that aren’t strange superpowers, but more like your physical senses, just catching energetic information rather than physical cues.
If you are anything interested in intuition development (the fact that you are currently reading this may be a hint that you are… just saying, don’t shoot the messenger), please notice that keeping your own energy clean is a prerequisite for it.
Just like you wouldn’t expect to see clearly through a dirty pair of glasses, or catch every word of a song streaming on a radio not attuned to the right frequency, it goes hand-in-hand the principle that discerning subtle inputs through a dense field it’s confusing at best, because you'll get messy informations, or even detrimental at worst, because you may misinterpret messages.
5 - Personal growth and building momentum in life
Probably I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but I truly care that the concept that *EC removes stagnancy* is landed.
What is stagnant is dense and stuck, and that’s annoying just like this, but in addition it’s also an obstacle to what is trying to flow in the same space.
This translates also on the level of personal growth: the realizations we are trying to grasp may become truly difficult to articulate.
The situation we can't make our mind over may seem too difficult to untagle.
As an extension of our energy, we become the ones who are stuck as well, and we could truly use the help of EC practices to help us make some clarity.
Clarity brings our priorities, motivations and values on the forefront, and these becomes the guidelines to decide our next course of actions.
Keep in mind that inside our energetic space, we digest and elaborate our own subtle dynamics: connecting the dots of our experiences, unlocking insights, receiving guidance, embodying aspects of the Self, and so on… and having a neat space for these processes has a huge impact on the quality and quantity of informations we get.
Here we wrap up this first article on Energetic Clearing, take your time to read this piece, and feel free to revisit it more than once, because there are a lot of concepts to take in.
In part 2 we’ll get practical and we’ll see simple tools and more extensive techniques to implement this important practice on a daily basis.
I hope that this may provide useful informations. As always, I’d be happy to know what you think about it, so feel free to reach out.
